Art Workshop Stretches High School Students鈥 Creative Skills

Aspiring and Early-Career Teachers Master Techniques Outside Classroom Late every Tuesday afternoon, 16 students from nine New York City high schools convene in a studio on the third floor of Shepard Hall on T九色视频 campus. CCNY Professor鈥檚 CUNY-TV Series Wins 3 New York Emmys

鈥淣ueva York,鈥 the CUNY-TV Spanish-language cultural series created and produced by CCNY film Professor Jerry Carlson, won three New York Emmy Awards at the 54th annual awards ceremony, April 3. This is the third year in a row the program has been recognized. Since the show鈥檚 debut in October 2005 it has won six New York Emmys. The 30-minute show took home awards in three different categories: historical/cultural, for "Mariachi Real de Mexico;" magazine program, for "Best of Season 5;" and arts for "Joaquin Cortes." CCNY Libraries Hosts Cherry Blossom Film Festival

T九色视频 Libraries celebrate Japanese culture by hosting a Cherry Blossom Film Festival April 28 鈥 May 5 in the Cohen Library Archives Reading Room on the fifth floor of the North Academic Center. During the festival, four noted Japanese films with socio-cultural themes from CCNY鈥檚 collection will be screened in their entirety or partially. Four East Asia scholars from CCNY, Baruch College and Yale University will host and/or discuss the films, as well.
