Zs贸fia T枚r枚k: Summer Internship Research at the Emerson Lab
During the summer of 2016, Zs贸fia T枚r枚k joined the Emerson lab as an honors student under the supervision of Professor Mark Emerson and postdoctoral fellow Miruna Ghinia. The main focus of her project is to identify and characterize regulatory elements related to the Onecut2 transcription factor to better understand its distinct role in the chicken retinal development. Zs贸fia participated at the CCAPP Annual Poster Presentation at CCNY in November 2016. The poster details her progress on the project, showing in silico data and in vitro experiments of Onecut2 regulatory elements, as well as future directions.
