Scholarships and Awards

We are currently offering scholarships for the Spring 2025 Semester. We invite you to apply for scholarships where you meet the following criteria. We encourage you to apply to at least 2-3 scholarships listed. 

Applications are due by March 4th, 2025.

Albert Ginsberg

For freshmen majoring in Economics with GPA of 3.5 or higher. Must write a thank you letter emphasizing interest in pursuing management or business, or showing an entrepreneurial bent, either in or out of school.

Betty & Walter Popper Scholarship

For seniors majoring in Economics with a GPA of 3.0 or higher interested in law post graduation. Must write a thank you letter explaining what he/she expects to achieve and what this award will mean to them. 

Carl Dunat Scholarship Fund

Open to seniors majoring in Economics, History, Philosophy, or Political Science. No other requirements to apply. 

Clements, Mark & Estelle Scholarship Fund

Designed for any level student majoring in economics with a special interest in the application of statistical techniques to business and economics, student must have already completed at least 2-3 quantitative courses (math/statistics courses).

Elkin, David B. Scholarship

Designed for any level student majoring in economics, student must have maintained a 3.5 GPA or above, and has demonstrated concern about the social implications of the economy. 

Irving Goldman Scholarship Fund

Open to students studying business, architecture or engineering. Student should either hail from Brooklyn, be a first-generation student, or the child of an immigrant. Must have a GPA or 3.0 or higher. 

Kastin, Lawrence C. Scholarship Fund

Open to all levels of students majoring in Economics. No other requirement listed to apply. 

Lefkowitz, Julius, B&A

Open to all levels of students majoring in Business Management. No other requirement listed to apply. 

Leonard Canter Scholarship Fund

Open to Juniors/Seniors majoring in Economics.

Lewis Mandell Memorial Fund

Open to all students majoring in Economics with economic needs.

Mark And Rose Friedman

Open to all students studying economics or business. Student must create a personal statement of under 500 words addressed to the BEAS Scholarship committee detailing how this scholarship will be impactful. 

Marvin Kristein Economics Internship Fund

Open to all students majoring in Economics or Business with economic needs. 

Noel J. McDonald Scholarship In Economics

Open to all students majoring in Economics or Business.

Weinman, Mary & Martin

Open to all students majoring in economics or engineering. 

Paul Abelson Commemorative Fund

Open to Graduate Students in the Economics program with an emphasis on labor relations.
