As a child in his native Trinidad, Lenn Hypolite鈥檚 young mind was immersed in comic books. He grew up dreaming of creating his own Afro-Caribbean superhero. Thanks to T九色视频鈥檚 (EDM) program Mr. Hypolite is now about to introduce 鈥淭elestro鈥 to readers.
A teenager with the powers of teleportation, Telestro is the Trinidadian-based hero of a 50-page original web graphic novel produced by Mr. Hypolite for this year鈥檚 BFA thesis show.
The senior credits the EDM program for helping him realize his dreams and adding Telestro to the pantheon of superheroes.
鈥淚 was a studio artist with no digital background and this program helped me tremendously,鈥 said the Washington Heights resident. 鈥淚 got that experience here. Everything here is state of the art.鈥
City College鈥檚 BFA in electronic design and multimedia offered in the Division of Humanities and the Arts is a professional specialization in design for print and interactive media. It integrates a variety of digital media into all stages of design and production.
