
CSOM Dean Carmen Green is on the 2022 Forbes list of 50 women over 50 recognized for impact.
This year鈥檚 recognized for their impact includes Dr. Carmen Green, dean of the CUNY School of Medicine (CSOM) at T九色视频. She is cited by the publication for her medical leadership over the past 30 years.
鈥淕reen is a leading researcher on inequities in pain care and, throughout her career, has been a vocal advocate for diversity, equity and inclusion in medicine,鈥 said Forbes. 鈥淚n 2006, she was selected for the prestigious Robert Wood Johnson Health Policy Fellowship and helped draft the National Pain Care Policy Act, which went into the landmark Affordable Care Act signed into law by President Obama in 2010.鈥
Green was named CSOM dean in 2021 at age 61. She previously worked at the University of Michigan, where she completed anesthesiology and pain medicine fellowships, and for many years in senior faculty positions teaching at the medicine and public health schools. .
