Join the CCNY LGBTQ+ Student Center, The Towers, and Christopher Street Tours as we adventure downtown NYC and uncover hidden LGBTQ+ History.

Join us and Christopher Street Tours for a hidden LGBTQ+ tour starting at Battery Park! We will visit historic sites where revolutions began, riots were sparked, and history was made. This is a continuation of our LGBTQ+ history tour from the Fall 2024 semester.

We will see common threads within the LGBTQ+ generations who lived in New York City, sharing their stories throughout the tour. You’ll also learn more about individual stories of Queer activists and the major political and social movements that have shaped the LGBTQ+ community over time.

When: Saturday, April 26, 2025 from 2PM to 4PM (tour starts at 2PM sharp)

Where: Meet At Castle Clinton National Monument (Battery Park) Our tour guide has an orange binder & will stand on the castle left side

Notes Regarding RSVP:

  • There are 2 ticket types: general tickets for students, staff, faculty, and alum, and tickets for Towers residents (revealed only with promo code- ask your RA for the code!)
  • All guests must RSVP to join the tour - walk-ins will be turned away if we reach capacity
  • There are limited tickets available. If no tickets are available, please join our waitlist in case spots open up.

About the CCNY LGBTQ+ Student Center
The Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer and Questioning Student Center (est. Fall 2021) is a collaborative resource dedicated to celebrating, empowering, and supporting LGBTQIA+ students, staff, and faculty at CCNY. About Christopher Street Tours
 (est. 2018) is an LGBTQ+-owned and -operated walking tour company with the mission of increasing access to LGBTQ+ history by sharing stories and uplifting voices from those that paved the way before us. Our tours are LGBTQ+ focused and led by expert educators, storytellers, and activists in the community. We are inspired by the deep history and impactful stories of the LGBTQ+ community across the globe. About The Towers at CCNY
 is an apartment-style residence hall on campus that will help you make the most of your college experience in an environment which encourages residents to explore opportunities academically, socially and culturally.
